ELITE 94 & 96 HAVE TOUGH LOSES IN THE SEMI'S IN SALMON ARM We're happy to announce that both the 94 and 96 ELITE teams respectfully advanced to the semi-finals in the Interior Pride Tournament held May 2-4. Unfortunately both teams lost to the eventual Tournament Champions on Sunday morning. The ELITE 94 took some time to figure things out as a team but when they did, they showed they could play with anybody in the tournament. A little team consistency and some work on special teams will help our 94 team compete for a tournament title in the near future. Our ELITE 96 team was the surprise of the tournament, with great results early and often. With a strong team defense, very strong goaltending, and timely scoring, the 96 ELITE had a very good chance of winning the Pride Tournament. Leaving Salmon Arm, the ELITE 96 felt they let one slip away as earlier in the tournament they had beat the two teams that eventually made it to the final. A tough lesson was learned and they'll take this experience and use it in their next tournament. Both teams would like to thank the Pride Tournament for a great time and we look forward to coming back. |

WCKV ELITE 95's Stick Together and place 3rd in Pac West
Tournament Well the Spring Season has started up and the WCKV ELITE 95 Team was 1st on setting the standard for the all the other ELITE Teams by battling for a tough 3rd place finish in the Pac West Tournament in Spokane April 24-26. After dropping the first two games to Pac West 7-4 & Kootenay Avalanche 9-5 the ELITE Players did not pack it in for the reminder on the tournament. They stuck together and stayed true to the new team concepts and game plan. The new look bunch rallied to win the following two games against the Montana Selects 6-2 and a little payback win against Kootenay 6-5 win to place 3rd. Next up for the 95 ELITE is a trip up north to Vancouver, BC and the Challenge Cup. They will be joined by the ELITE U-16 and 93 teams. Good Luck to all. |
